A Chipboard-Inspired Installation for Sovereign IT Solutions, Khammam

Translating a Digital Heart into a Physical Form

Sovereign IT Solutions, a growing technology firm based in Khammam, is led by Mr. Battineni Prakash Chowdary, a young entrepreneur with a visible thirst for innovation. We had previously collaborated with Sovereign on their earlier office project, where we painted nine unique murals tailored to their brand identity and culture.

This time, for their new office extension, Mr. Prakash approached us with a very specific, almost poetic brief:

“I need a different form of artwork—not a mural—and I want the naked AC ducts and cable casings to be part of the design, not hidden.”

This request opened up a new way of thinking for us.

After several brainstorming sessions and sharing visual references from across the web, we proposed something bold—what if we treated the entire space like a tech-inspired art gallery?

Instead of hiding the infrastructural rawness, we would embrace it. Highlight it. And build an installation that speaks to the soul of computing—its logic, structure, and silent power.

More than decoration.

Meaning—translated into material.

The theory felt sound. But giving it form was the real challenge. This installation emerged from one of the earliest sparks in our design process—and it stayed with us.

The Concept: Circuit Boards, Stripped to Essence

We took inspiration from chipboards and motherboards—not for their complexity, but for their inner rhythm. Their quiet efficiency. Their flow.

The installation is made up of two distinct pieces:

1. A chipset-inspired arrangement composed of overlapping white, grey, and black squares, rectangles, and circles of varying sizes.

2. A keyboard layout, specifically referencing Apple keyboards—flat, minimal, and iconic.

These forms are layered carefully, following the rhythm of circuitry—structured, but full of subtle shifts. Behind the keyboard structure, we painted a rich matte green background—a quiet nod to circuit boards—subtle but deliberate.

Design Details: Minimal, Grounded, and Graphic

Though minimal in its color palette, the work is deeply layered in meaning and structure. Every element was designed with an almost architectural mindset.

The clean edges, muted tones, and matte finishes create a sense of quiet confidence—tech, reinterpreted in human materials.

The green zone anchoring the keyboard section was painted in premium matte emulsion, chosen to offer calm contrast. The rest of the piece flows from it, playing with density and negative space. The installation lives within a specific portion of the wall—framed by thick architectural columns, which we used as natural divisions for visual balance.

What might otherwise be overlooked—AC ducts, cable casings—became part of the visual landscape, as intended by the client.

The Making: Studio Precision and Seamless Execution

The entire installation was fabricated in-studio using MDF, cut and finished panel by panel. We used high-quality powder coating in a soft matte finish, followed by clear coats for protection and depth.

The surfaces came out with a slightly unreal texture—clean, sharp, almost surreal under light.

The installation was carefully packed and transported in flat modules, then installed on-site over a single day. We used a combination of screw nails and heavy-duty glue, working with precise alignment to follow our printed blueprint. Most fasteners are completely concealed—giving the finished piece a clean, graphic quality, as if the elements were printed on the wall.

Now, the panels stretch across the space like a quiet force—subtle, structured, and unmistakably present.
